Following the just concluded Rivers State Local Government election, the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is set to swear in the newly elected Local Government Chairmen.
This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, on Sunday.
According to the statement, the swear-in ceremony will hold at Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, by 4pm on Sunday.
The newly elected Chairmen, along with one guest each, are expected to be seated by 3:30pm.
NPO reports that the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Justice Adolphus Enebeli (retd.),declared the winners of the local government elections, which the Action Peoples Party (APP) won 22 of 23 local governments.
