A newly graduated student of Human Anatomy, of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Olufunke Obatuyi, has cried out after kidnappers abducted her father while returning to Kogi state after attending her graduation ceremony.
The embattled lady who said the kidnappers have allowed the family to speak with her family said they demanded for a sum of N10million for his release.
According to the devastated former student of FUTA, her father had been full of life when he came for the convocation ceremony only for him to be kidnapped while on his way back to Kogi state.
“I’m truly devastated. My dad was kidnapped at Kabba, Kogi on his way back from my convocation. The kidnappers are demanding a huge sum. I managed to speak with him,he’s being tortured and pleaded with us to act fast. Please keep my family in your prayers. Any support is not small,” she said in her save-our-soul message on X.
Kogi state has been a hotbed of insecurity with many cases reported every week.
