A source told the NPO Reports that Auxiliary escaped apparently having got an hint that security men were on his trail after the announcement of the dissolution of the PMS.
A number of guns, charms and other dangerous weapons have been recovered from the residence of Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxiliary in Ibadan Oyo state capital on Monday.
This happened hours after the Governor, Seyi Makinde, announced the dissolution of the Parks Management Committee which oversaw the affairs of parks in the state before yesterday.
The action of the governor was seen to be an end to the romance between the two.
Auxiliary is a product of the camp of the late Ibadan political warlord, late Lamidi Adedibu.
The statement for the dissolution was signed by Segun Ogunwuyi, the Governor’s Chief of Staff. It read, “I have the directive of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to inform you of the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System with immediate effect from today, Monday, 29th May 2023.”
Operatives of the police command were said to have stormed his residence recovering some of the arms found.
