The Management of University of Ilorin headed by the Vice-Chancellor, has appealed to the students of the school over the challenges being faced as a result of inadequate transportation in the school.
The appeal was contained in a statement signed by the school Spokesman, Kunle Akogun in Ilorin on Wednesday.
The statement quoted Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole,SAN, the vice chancellor saying that the shortage of transportation has left many stranded every morning and evening during peak hours.
“Even the injection of more buses to the campus route has not achieved any tangible result as the nationwide fuel scarcity had compound the situation, thereby rubbishing such intervention,”the statement read in part
“In order to mitigate the effect of this unfortunate situation on our students especially,the management has instructed the adjustment of lecture time table to make it more flexible.
“Also,we have renewed our zoom licenses to activate to activate the virtual lecture option recently approved by the Vice-Chancellor.”

While further mitigation steps are being considered,the management appealed to all the students for their continuous understanding adding that the factor responsibility for the current situation was not peculiar to the citadel of leaning.
