The Force Headquarters of the Nigeria Police on Wednesday expressed regrets over the death of a service Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Guri, who slumped and died in his office.
NPO Reports learnt that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Police Mobile Force slumped and died in his office on Tuesday. Also, Retired Commissioner of Police Alayeluwa Oba Emmanuel Adebayo FCIA, JP, the Elemure of Emure Ekiti, died in Ekiti on Tuesday.
“Guri was known for his compassion, punctuality, and unwavering commitment to his duties. His exemplary service to our country will continue to inspire all who knew him,” Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesman of the force said in a statement on Wednesday.
Also commenting on the death of Elemure, the IGP was quoted as saying “His Majesty’s tenure as both a traditional leader and a police commissioner has left a lasting legacy on our nation. His remarkable wisdom, steadfast leadership, and unwavering dedication to public service will forever be cherished.
