The former Speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo was on Monday arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over a N2.5bn alleged fraud committed by the impeached speaker.
Oluomo was arraigned alongside two other principal officers of the Assembly, Dayo Samuel and Adeyemo Adedeji.
They were dragged before a Federal High court sitting in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, capital of the state, presided over by Justice O.O Okeke.
The case was however adjourned to the 29th of February and 1st of March after it was discovered that the counsel to the anti-graft agency could not make it to court.
They were accused of committing the alleged fraud when Oluomo was still in Office.
NPO Reports that Oluomo was removed from office last week after 18 of the 36 members of the House voted for his removal.
They had accused him of high handedness and misappropriation of funds belonging to the members.
