In a bid to eradicate the rapidly rising cases of insecurity in Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani, has affirmed that the arrival of the 200 Inspector General of Police Special Intervention Squad is promise his state.
Also delivered were two armoured personnel carriers (APCs) to fortify the state against criminals.
The governor expressed his elation in a post shared via his X account on Sunday.
According to him, the Inspector General of Police had promised to send equipments and personnel to strengthen the fighting capability and efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force in Kaduna State.
“Today, I received two Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) and 200 highly trained members of the Special Squad of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) deployed to Kaduna State by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to strengthen the fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminality. This is a promise fulfilled.”
He further expressed his appreciation to the IGP for his outstanding service and support to Kaduna State, whilst also appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu providing focused leadership at this trying time in Nigeria’s history and ensuring the safe return of the Kuriga school children.
“Before receiving the Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) and 200 members of the Special Police Squad, we held a closed-door meeting with members of the Core Security Council and community leaders from Kuriga, Chikun LG.” He noted in his post.
