.Urges Nigerians Not to Return to Vices After Ramadan
The Imam of Chief Rotimi Williams Estate Muslims Community, Iju Lagos, Umar Yuguda, has told Muslims that it is wrong of them to complain and criticize without offering solutions to the nation’s problems.
This was just as he advised Nigerians who have abstained from all manners of vices in the one month of Ramadan not to return to those misconduct for the sake of their hereafter.
Speaking after the Eid-Il-Fitr prayer held at the Estate Community mosque on Chief Rotimi Williams Road on Wednesday as part of the celebrations marking the end of Ramadan, the cleric said oftentimes people are pushed to complaining without thinking of what contributions they can make to change the situation.
He said whether with prayers, ideas and other forms of practical solutions, a Muslim must put himself in the position of a solution provider.
While advising against return to all forms of bad behaviors which people had jettisoned during the fasting period, he said people should note that whatever they lived without for 30 days won’t affect them negatively if they bid final farewell to them.
He asked Muslims and others to pray for Nigeria while also demanding supports in all forms for all Muslims across the world especially those in situations of war.
He specifically listed Muslims in Gaza, Yemen and other places where war and famine had made life miserable.
