The absence of Justice Bayo Taiwo of the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, has on Wednesday, stalled the hearing in a murder trial of a former Chairman, Oyo State Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxiliary.
Consequently, the matter, which was slated for adoption of addresses in the trial-within-trial, had to be adjourned untill June 11.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr Olatunji Adeoye, the Prosecution Counsel and Oyo State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and Defence Counsel, Mr Olalekan Ojo (SAN) were present in court.
Auxiliary is facing trial on a 17-count charge bordering on armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, possession of firearm including AK-47 assault rifles, two SMG rifle with magazine.
The offence, is punishable under Section 1(2)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, CAP RII, Vol.14, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
