Kogi state lawmaker, Leke Abejide, has alongside 16 members of the House of Representatives defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This is coming in two days after the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) after withdrawing their membership with the ADC.
While the 16 lawmakers declared NDC as their next destination as announced on the floor of the House during plenary on Tuesday, Abejide however declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) as his new party.
