The Federal High Court Abuja has declared the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, guilty of some counts in the terrorism charge filed against him.
Justice James Omotosho, the presiding judge, made the declaration at the resumption of his judgement delivery over Kanu’s trial on Thursday.
Having previewed the charge and evidences presented before the court, Omotosho declared that Kanu is guilty on the count one to three of the terrorism charge.
“The declaration of a sit-at-home without any constitutional power, especially accompained by a threat is a terrorists act. The defendant did not present any evidence to rebuff the case of the prosecution.
“Consequently, he admitted the evidence as presented by the prosecution. The position has successfully proved count two beyond reasonable doubt.
“Consequently, the defendant is hereby convicted of count two.” He said.
