The Nasarawa State Governorship election tribunal, on Monday nullified the election of Governor of Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressive Congress.
The tribunal also said that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, David Ombugadu was the winner of the election.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP as the lawfully elected governor of Nasarawa State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Governor Sule winner of the election.
In a split judgement by the three-man Tribunal headed by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, on Monday, the majority declared Umbugadu as winner of the election.
The tribunal had earlier in the day dismissed the petition of Abdullahi Maidoya of the New Nigeria’s Peoples Party.
Maidoya too had challenged the victory of Sule in the same election.
