Kaduna State Government has declared an immediate end to the 6pm-8am curfew imposed on the Kaduna and Zaria metropolis on account of the unrest caused during the #Endbadgovernance protest.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the state’s security council earlier today.
According to the statement, the council came to the resolution of of ending the curfew in a security briefing held last night with the state’s governor, Uba Sani.
“After an extensive review of the security situation in Kaduna and Zaria towns and their environs, the Kaduna State Security Council, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani has removed the current 6pm to 8am curfew completely.
“With this development, law abiding citizens are free to move and engage in legitimate activities in Kaduna and Zaria town and their environs without restrictions.” The statement read.
The council, however, warned to detest from illegal gathering as security operatives would be still be on the lookout.
