An All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Abdul-Rahoof Bello Labe-labe, has called out the state’s Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi, over his negligence of Oro-Ago communities desolated by terrorist’ attack.
This is coming under the heels of the recent attack on the community which had forced several residents to evacuate from their homes.
According to reports, the terrorists had stormed a church in one of the communities, abducting eight worshippers who had since been held in captivity.
Abdul-Rahoof expressed his displeasure the Alabi’s neglect of the communities where he claimed the Deputy Governor hailed from.
The APC Chieftain made this known during an interview on Channels TV Sunrise Daily programme on Monday.
He alleged that the nothimg has been heard from the Deputy Governor since the attacks on the communities.
“All the communities in Oro-Ago that were desolated are the communities of the sitting Deputy Governor (Kayode Alabi), and we’ve not heard a single word from him- either as condolence or in sympathy for the victims.
“He has not even visited the villages.” He said.
While acknowledging the visitation of the governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to some attacked communites, Abdul-Rahoof called for more action beyond the condolence visit and press statements.
He held that the recent surge in attacks are coordinated with an agenda to displace Yorubas from their lands in Kwara.
“Well, the governor visited some places in the past, like he visited Oke-Ode, Baba Nla and the likes.
“Apart from that, the governor has not been forthcoming enough.
“We should graduate from swnding condolences and Press statement.
“We should go into real action because these people have agenda.
“It has been coordinated attacks. The agenda is to displace the Yorubas and occupy our lands.” The APC chieftain added.
