Lagos State government has commenced public school transfer exercise ahead of the 2024/2025 academic session.
The state government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, announced the commencement of the transfer opportunities into Junior and Secondary schools for students who seek such transfer based on genuine reasons.
This was contained in a statement issued on the state government’s official X handle.
According to the statement, the transfer is not limited to public school students but also open to private school students who desire a switch to public schools across the state.
Meanwhile, the transfer exercise, which began on the 8th of August, is limited to JSS II and SS II.
Interested parents are required to submit a written application addressed to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, stating the candidate’s school of choice, gender, age and state of origin.
Applicants, on the other hand, are expected to attach passport photographs, birth certificates, 2nd and 3rd term results of previous classes.
The application exercise is slated to end on Friday 30th, August 2024.
