A Lagos Igbo traditional chief (Eze Ndigbo), identified as Prosper Chukwuka, has freed four female convicts from Kirikiri correctional facility.
The Amuwo Odofin- based Igbo chief, popular known as Eze Igburugburu, had visited the female custodial facility on Tuesday where he initiated the release of four inmates while promising to give them jobs.
As captured in a video shared on his TikTok handle, the inmates were ushered out of the facility by the Chief who was accompanied by his entourage.
Following the release, the Eze Ndigbo promised them job at his palace in order to prevent them from committing another offense.
Prior to that, he charged his subjects to get their details and ensure they are well fed while he give them money to go to their respective residence before reporting to the palace for their job as promised.
Chukwuka also pledged to return to the prison and initiate the release of another batch of convicted inmates.
“These are the four people I released form Kirikiri prison. I will take them to my palace, register everything about them, give them food, give them money. They will now go back to their various destination. after two days, they will come to the palace and we will share work for them so that they will not go and commit another offense and come back to the prison.
“Today I released only four. When I come back another time, I will release more.” He said.
