The Lagos State Police Command have invited Human Rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, and Quadri Alabi, the 2023 Labour Party’s Lagos Presidential campaign poster boy.
Recall that Quadri, who stood in front of Peter Obi’s convoy during his campaign in Lagos, was on Thursday freed by an Apapa Magistrate Court after three months in prison over alleged involvement violent attack and robbery.
NPO Reported that the teenager was alleged framed by some suspected hoodlums at his Amukoko residence over his refusal to share the proceeds of the campaign with them.
He was arrested and arraigned to court alongside other suspects arrested by the Amukoko Police Station.
Following three months of being remanded, Quadri’s plight caught the attention of netizens which led to the intervention of human rights and activists and legal counsels led by Effiong.
Effiong and his team effect the release of Quadri last week following the no-case advice issued to the court by the Lagos Director of Public Prosecutions, Dr. Babajide Martins.
Squel to Quadri’s release, the Lagos Police Command invited Effiong and the teenager to its headquarters over the case.
