A member of the Ondo State House of Assembly , Mr Kola Ologede (APC -Akure North) has called for investigation over the killing of members of his constituents.
Ologede made this appeal in a statement in Akure yesterday.
The lawmaker charged security agencies to fish out killers of two members of his constituency.
According to suspected bandits had, on Tuesday, killed Mrs Lucia Ayelabola, a farmer, and Sunday Oladele, a commercial motorcyclist at Ago Oyinbo in Igbatoro Familugba Community, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
“The killings and shootings of my constituents are sad and disturbing development that must be condemned by all.
“I urge the security agencies to act swiftly to prevent further attacks and ensure justice is served,” Ologede said.
He added the deceased were engaging in their legitimate means of survival before their “senseless and barbaric” killings.
The lawmaker described the attacks as “dastardly, ruthless, and reprehensible”, and demanded immediate action from security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators to bring them to justice.
Meanwhile, he commiserated with the victims’ families and pledged to work with authorities to provide support and protection to the affected communities.
The lawmaker also urged the state and Federal governments to address the root causes of insecurity and find lasting solution to the menace of bandit attacks in the state.
