Looters have hijacked the protests in Kano state as hoodlums have started to enter shops and offices to cart away items.
Public infrastructure such as traffic lights, billboards, government offices have come under attacks as the hoodlums have taken over the major streets of the ancient city.
NPO Reports that security men have been overwhelmed as the looters break into shops in commercial centers of the city.
Items such as home furnitures, food items, clothings and others have come under looting.
One of the offices broken into on Thursday include the National Communications Commission where furniture and other valuables were carted away.
