The parents of late singer, Oladimeji Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad were present on Monday as the Police inaugurated a special panel to investigate the death of the singer.
Mohbad died on Tuesday in circumstances believed to be controversial.
Many have been fingered as being responsible for actions that led to his death.
Among those being accused of having hands in Mohbad’s death are Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley who is the boss of the Marlian Music, and one of his associates called Sam Larry.
Mohbad was previously signed into Marlian Records. He however parted ways with the label leading to crisis between them.
On Saturday, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police was poised to set up a panel.
This was after a meeting between the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun and the Commissioner in Lagos, Idowu Owohunwah.
The police, through the Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, released a statement ‘Mohbad’s Death: We will carry out diligent investigation” saying that the police were committed to a comprehensive investigation into the matter, adding that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police had been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.
Hundeyin had said, “To this end, the Commissioner of Police has constituted a Special Investigation Team within the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to coordinate the investigation.
At the inauguration on Monday, Mohbad’s father was seated next to the Commissioner of Police.
