A Nigerian mother cried out for help over alleged sales of her daughter into sex slavery in Libya.
The aggrieved mother made the plea in a video shared on X on Saturday.
Speaking in Yoruba, the woman narrated how her daughter whose name was not disclosed was deceived with a trip to Dubai by her boss.
The lady would however be taken to Libya where her boss, simply identified as Lara, allegedly sold her into sex slavery.
‘Please Nigerians come to my rescue. My child went to Ikeja to sell pure water and minerals. On getting home, she told me that she met a lady employed her to be selling Indomie.
‘Her name is Lara. Two weeks into her employment, Lara offered her a trip to Dubai where she claimed her elder sister just gave birth. My child followed Lara only for her to be dumped in Libya.’ She said.
The woman recalled speaking with her daughter one month after her arrival before she lost contact with her.
Her daughter eventually called and informed the mother of her ordeal.
‘Six months after, she was called and informed that her daughter ran away with a man. m
‘One month after her arrival in Libya, they sent me her picture and we also spoke.
‘Ever since then, I’ve not been able to speak with her. Six months after, they called me that my daughter has absconded with a man.
‘Please my daughter does not know anywhere. I have just two children left out of five. Now I’m left with just one since my daughter’s departure.
‘Please come to my rescue Nigerians. I recently learnt she was sold into sex slavery.
‘My daughter managed to call me and informed me that her boss lied against her. She said it was her boss who sold her into sex slavery.’ She said.
