The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has renamed the Lafia flyover bridge after President Bola Tinubu.
Abdullahi made the announcement during the commissioning of the 1km stretch flyover over bridge by the President on Wednesday.
NPO earlier Reported Tinubu’s arrival at Lafia, the state’s capital, for the scheduled one-day working visit and project commissioning.
Following his arrival, Abdullahi, accompanied by other members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum, took the President to the newly constructed bridge.
In his address, the Nasarawa governor declared the project 100 percent complete with no outstanding debt.
“You are Excellency, this is the first project that you are going to commission for us. It is actually a combination of an underpass and a flyover covering one kilometre.
“It is completed 100 percent and we have paid off 100 percent all without borrowing one Naira because of your effort. For that reason, we name it Bola Ahmed Tinubu exchange.” Abdullahi declared.
In his remark before commissioning the project, the President expressed his gratitude the state government for the honour.
He commended Abdullahi for resources management and commitment to value.
“It is a great honour for me to be here feeling at home, feeling very welcomed, and to inaugurate this project.
“I salute the prudent management of resources and commitment to value given by the governor of our dear state. Thank you very much and God bless the state. I therefore commission this project.”Tinubu said.
