The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly demanded the custody of Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, for drug test amid the ongoing marital crisis his sister and Delta lawmaker, Sen. Ned Nwoko.
NPO Reported that Nwoko had allegedly orchestrated the arrest of Samuel, popularly known as Sammy, and arraigned him to court over alleged assault on his domestic staff and influence on Regina’s drug and alcohol addiction.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command had ordered the arrest of Sammy and transfer of his case from Lagos to Abuja where he was arraigned.
In the wake of calls for his release, SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police spokesperson, had over the weekend explained that Sammy was arrested following a petition filed on October 28, 2025, and bordered on alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.
Meanwhile, the NDLEA was reported to have been involved in the ongoing case as the agency allegedly wrote to the prosecution counsel, demanding the release of Sammy for drug test.
This was disclosed in a post shared on Instagram on Monday.
The development had again been traced to Nwoko, Regina’s husband, who had in a statement shared on his X handle on Saturday called for the rehabilitation of Sammy.
The Delta lawmaker had in the statement recounted how Sammy and Regina’s friend had been sabotaging all his effort in rehabilitating the actress from her drug and alcohol addication.
