The Nigerian Army have neutralised a notorious Boko Haram and the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) commander, Ameer Jidda, alongside undisclosed number of suspected terrorists in Yobe state.
As disclosed in a post shared on the Force’s official X handle on Sunday, the terrorists leader was eliminated during a simultaneous air and ground attacks on Boko Haram/ISWAP strongholds in Nzalgana, Gujba LGA, and the Tumbuktu Triangle area of Yobe.
Ameer, a top commander in Ngorgore and Malumti Villages, was neutralized in the course of the operation with additional bodies of terrorists and seized weapons also recovered following the recent military operation in Mallamfatori.
The post read; “In the early hours of today, June 9, 2025, troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched simultaneous air and ground attacks on Boko Haram/ISWAP strongholds in Nzalgana, Gujba LGA, and the Tumbuktu Triangle, resulting in significant casualties among terrorists and their leaders.
“Notably, Ameer Malam Jidda, a top commander in Ngorgore and Malumti Villages, was neutralized.
“Meanwhile, in Abadam, additional bodies of terrorists and seized weapons were recovered following the recent military operation in Mallamfatori.”
