The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kuwait, with concurrent accreditation to Bahrain, has activated a dedicated mobile and WhatsApp communication line to strengthen direct engagement with Nigerian nationals in both countries.
The development was announced in a circular dated March 1, 2026, as part of measures to ensure timely communication and coordinated support for Nigerians amid prevailing regional circumstances.
NPO Reports recalls that Iran had on Saturday launched a missile attack on a United States naval base in Bahrain, triggering explosions across the capital, Manama.
A luxury hotel in Dubai was also hit as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for the “massive” and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.
The Embassy said the WhatsApp line was created to allow faster dissemination of official information, safety advisories, and updates to citizens.
According to the circular, the mission is closely monitoring developments in the region and remains in constant contact with the leadership of Nigerian communities in Kuwait and Bahrain.
Nigerians in both countries have been advised to remain vigilant, observe safety guidelines, and comply with advisories issued by the host governments.
The Embassy further encouraged citizens to stay informed by following local news and official announcements from Kuwaiti and Bahraini authorities, noting that calm and cooperation remain essential during the period.
For inquiries or assistance, Nigerian nationals have been advised to contact the Embassy via email at nigeriakuwait@yahoo.com or through call and WhatsApp on +965 9923 8835.
Citizens were also encouraged to join the official Embassy of Nigeria Kuwait/Bahrain WhatsApp group for updates and community support.
