The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Federal Government over the poor power supply currently experienced across the country.
Adelabu made the appeal while speaking at a public event on Wednesday.
The Minister who admitted to the recent nationwide epileptic power supply urged Nigerians to have trust in the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.
He maintained that the administration has no intention to hurt anyone.
“To those here, to those at home, to all Nigerians, have the trust in this administration.
“They should have the confidence in this administration.
“Whatever we are doing, we are not doing it to hurt anybody.” He said.
Adelabu disclosed that Tinubu’s plan is to use the energy sector to drive optimal performance of other sectors.
“It only takes little time, little patience for them to start seeing the laudable plan that Mr. President has for the sector.
“He says that he wants to use this sector to drive optimal performance in other sectors and he is giving us the support. He is giving us the backing.
“So, we want to urge people at home to give us that chance.” He added.
