Accuses Judges of Ignorance of the Nigerian Laws
Embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused Federal High Court judge, Justice Binta Nyako, of using her position over his case for personal gain.
The infuriated IPOB leader, at the hearing of his case before the judge on Monday, accused the court of turning the law upside down while alleging that Nyako was sent to handle his case to convict him in order to free her son and daughter from corruption charges.
As captured in a now viral video on social media, Kanu held that the the Federal High Court judge has no jurisdiction over him.
He stated that poor knowledge of the law is killing Nigeria.
“Why is it that when it comes to my case, they turn the law upside down.
“The prosecution and this court doesn’t know the law. Poor knowledge of the law is killing Nigeria.
“This is a Federal gazetted law of Nigeria that says the Chief Judge of Nigeria does not have right over Nyako.
“They turned my case from treasonable felony to terrorism.
“I don’t recognize anything Binta Nyako today on the fact that she has no jurisdiction over me.
“Binta Nyako is using her position for personal gain. Her son and husband are facing corruption charges and they told them that if they convict me..
“They sent her to my case so they can release or smoothen the pathway for her son and husband.” Kanu said.
Meanwhile , Justice Nyako adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, indefinitely following his insistence that the judge cannot preside over his case since she had recused herself.
A visibly infuriated Kanu had hit one of his counsel who was talking at the same time he was talking shouting at the counsel “Stop talking when I am talking,”
