Former Bayelsa state lawmaker, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce has debunked reports of the demise of former Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano.
Obiano was earlier reported to have passed away in London after prolonged illness.
He was alleged to have died of severe heart failure and complications related to urinary cancer.
In the wake of the report, Murray-Bruce had earlier mourned the alleged demise of Obiano.
The lawmaker, in a now deleted post on his X handle, described the former Anambra governor as a man of charm, courage, and commitment to his people.
Murray-Bruce would however clamp down the old post while announcing in a recent post that Obiano is not dead.
He disclosed contacting leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who maintained that the ex-governor is hail and healthy.
Onuorah urged the public to desist from spreading rumours.
“I just contacted some senior APGA leaders in touch with the family and they say Willie Obiano is still alive and healthy.
“Kindly stop spreading the rumors. Wait to hear from the family.” He wrote.
