Donald Ojogo, the lawmaker representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, have narrowly escaped death in brutal accident involving convoy.
The accident which also involved a commercial bus occurred on Friday along Ore- Ondo Road.
According to reports, the crash occurred while the lawmaker was travelling to Arogbo, in the Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state for a political engagement.
Video shared on X showed the ghastly dented car of the lawmaker which plunged into a nearby bush after veering off the road.
The commercial bus involved was also parked by the roadside with its passengers evacuated as officials of the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, cleared off the debris from the crashed vehicles from the road.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker was rescued unhurt with no casualty also recorded from any of his convoy and the passengers of the commercial vehicle.
Speaking in the video, Ojogo expressed gratitude to God for saving him and the other victims.
He however did not disclose the cause of the accident.
‘I can’t even describe it. But all I know is that I thank God for surviving.
‘This is a very serious incident. God has saved us. That is the only thing I can say for now.’ Ojogo said.
Also, no official statement has been issued by the FRSC as regards the cause of the accident as whether there are casualities.
