A member of the All Progressive Congress Campaign Council recently inaugurated by the party to oversee the election of its candidate in Osun, Prince Oyekunle Oyewumi, said that the job of electing the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebanji is a task that must be completed.
Oyewumi, who is a former member of the National Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) said the constitution of the campaign council shows the seriousness attached to the victory of the party in Osun.
Oyewumi told NPO Reports, “Osun is vital for us as a party and we can all see the importance attached to it as a party with the seasoned political heavyweights in the campaign council.
Osun is critical and we are on the path to claiming glory.”
The National Campaign Council headed by the Executive Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzo Uzodinma has notable political figures from Oyo state including the Minister of Power; Chief Joseph Tegbe; Chairman of National Revenue Service (NRC), Mr Zacch Adedeji; former Minister for Youth Development and Presidential Media Aide, Chief Sunday Dare; former Deputy Governor of Oyo State/Oyo State APC chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo; the APC governorship candidate for Oyo state (2027), Senator Sarafadeen Alli; Senator Yunus Akintunde, Mrs Tolulope Akande Sadipe Wasiu Alli and Barrister Ibrahim Lawal.
Having served in various capacities at the National and Sub-national party levels, Oyewumi, who was Special Adviser to Oyo state Governor on Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and member of the APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council will serve on the committee on mobilization of Special Interest (PWD) with the Executive Governor of Niger state, Alhaji Umar Bago and Aare Durotolu Bankole serving as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
The National Campaign Council has been inaugurated by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda in Abuja, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
