A wave of outrage has rocked Delta State following disturbing videos of mass groping, and coordinated sexual assaults reportedly targeting women.
According to the videos seen on X by the NPO Reports, particular concern has been raised around Southern Delta University in Ozoro, where female students are being harassed, groped by groups of men.
NPO Reports learnt that the local celebration identified as the Uruamudhu Aluejo Festival, is set aside for the purpose of harassing women
Some videos shows “gang” assaults, with victims surrounded and violated in crowded areas.
The reports have triggered widespread anger online, as Nigerians condemn the act.
NPO reports that as of press time, there has been no official statement from the management of the Delta institution or the Delta State Government addressing the allegations.
