The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State has emerged as the winner of all chairmanship seats held across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission announced the results of the council poll held on Saturday, April 27.
In attendance at the announcement of the results were the commission’s chairman, Isiaka Olagunju (SAN); the state Commissioner of Police, Adebola Hamzat, among others.
However, the All Progressives Congress chapter in the state, on Saturday, demanded the cancellation of the poll.
According to the party, the election was a “sham.”
The results from each local government as announced by the Returning Officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission are as follows:
