A fuel station has been gutted by fire in Abuja, sending panic among residents of the capital city.
The AYM Shafa Petrol Station located at Area 3 in the Federal Capital Territory was on Thursday night engulfed in flames.
Video capturing the moment of the explosion showed a large bright fireball lighting up the night as some residents could be seen scampering for safety.
The cause of the inferno and possible casualties however remains unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, emergency responders and fire service operators had been deployed to the scene.
