The 2024 Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Edo Governorship election candidate, Asue Ighodalo, has been appointed by the party’s National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) as the Secretary of the Screening Committee for the 2025 National Convention.
Ahead of the convention slated to hold in Ibadan, Oyo state, the PDP NCOC had shortlisted a 13-man committee for the screening of all aspiring national officers.
Ighodalo was shortlisted as the secretary of the screening committee chaired by Eyitayo Jegede (SAN).
As contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Adamawa State Governor and NOCG Chairman, Ahmadu Fintiri, the organising committee approved the 13-man screening committee appointees.
According to the statement, the committee are saddled with the responsibility of screening all aspirants for national offices in the upcoming Elective National Convention scheduled for Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November.
The screening exercise for the aspirants of the national offices is scheduled for Tuesday, 28th October 2025.
Meanwhile the NCOC charged the screening committees to ensure exemplary conduct and strict adherence to rules and regulations.
This, the NCOC held, will justify the confidence reposed by the Party on members of the Committee.
