Police Declares Another Prime Suspect Wanted Over Mohbad’s Death

The police in Lagos on Wednesday declared wanted a prime suspect in the ongoing investigation of the death of the singer Oladimeji Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly called Mohbad.
The police, according to its spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the declaration followed the suspect’s failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mohbad.
The suspect, wanted Owodunni Ibrahim also called, Primeboy is said to be of approximately 1.64-m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by tribe.
“His last known address is 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu.
“If seen, contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, hereby offers a handsome reward of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira Only) to anyone with useful information leading to his arrest.” The police statement said.
Mohbad died on September 12 this year with suspicions that his death was premeditated by some people.
At the centre of the claims is his former boss at Marlian Music, Azeez Fashola popularly called Naira Marley.
One of his associates Samson Balogun notoriously caller Sam Larry, was seen in a video bullying him.
Perez Medcare hospital, located in Victoria Island, in a
statement on Monday said the singer was brought to their medical facility, already lifeless, on the 12th of September at approximately 04:30 p.m.
The statement partly read, “The attention of the management of Perez Medcare Hospital has been drawn to the misleading and false information circulated in some social media platforms that Mr Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mobbed) died in our medical facility.
“We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30 pm on the 12th of September 2023, the lifeless body of Mr Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility, and our medical team immediately sprang into action.
“After assessment, it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs and his pupils were fixed and dilated.
Upon his arrival, the medical team at Perez Medcare Hospital promptly initiated efforts to resuscitate the artiste, but their assessments yielded disheartening results.
The statement revealed, “After assessment, it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs, and his pupils were fixed and dilated.”
“On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigour mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body concerning death) was observed, and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead).”
It was gathered that the singer had earlier been attended to by a self proclaimed health worker.
The association or nurses and midwifery had last week said the health worker was not a registered nurse with the association.
