Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have neutralized four kidnappers.
The Spokesperson of the Command, Edafe Bright disclosed this in an X post on Sunday.
Among the kidnappers killed was the gang’s leader, an Onitsha-based business man who was said to have maintained a legitimate front while coordinating kidnappings and murders.
The operation led by the CP Special Assignment Team led to the death of the four gang members and the recovery of three AK-47 rifles.
Bright revealed that the gang was behind some gruesome crimes, including the kidnapping and murder of Miss Esther Ojoh, a young realtor who was abducted and killed the following day.
In another tragic incident, they murdered a man and kidnapped his wife and two children.
They also kidnapped a medical doctor and collected a ransom of #15,000,000.
“They kidnapped a realtor, Miss Esther Ojoh, and murdered her the next day.
“They murdered another man and kidnapped his wife and two children.
“They also kidnapped a medical doctor and collected a ransom of #15,000,000.
“The funniest part is that the gang leader operates a normal business in Onitsha aside from his kidnapping business.
“Now, they are no more when our men of the CP Special Assignment team engaged them.
“Four of them died, and three AK-47 rifles were recovered.
“May the souls of those they have murdered rest in peace, but for their own, na God go decide that one”. Bright wrote.
