Police operatives have on Friday night stormed the residence of the Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Adewale Egbedun, amid allegation of the lawmaker hosting suspected political thugs.
The private residence located in Asi, Odo-Otin Local Government Area of the state was reportedly surrounded by the officers who reportedly arrived in over 10 Hilux vans.
Videos shared on X showed the rows of operational vehicles positioned outside the compound.
While there is yet to be any official confirmation, Egbedun was alleged to have received a group of suspected thugs who arrived at his residence in over five buses.
The lawmaker is also yet to issue any statement in respect to the allegation.
