A group of policemen lamented over the desertion of Owa Onire town in Kwara State after endless terrorist attacks on the community.
The police squad who were deployed to the town decried the isolated state of the town.
As captured in a video recorded by one of the officers, the town located at Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara state, had no occupants as doors of houses and establishments within the town were all shut.
The video also captured the palace of the town’s king which was also shut with all windows closed.
“All residents have left. There is nobody here again except goats.
“This is my first of seeing a town abandoned by residents” One of the officers who recorded the video said as he toured the town.
His colleagues were spotted around the town with their operation vehicles parked as they surveil the area.
