Popular Nigerian highlife singer, Saint Janet, has passed away, throwing the entertainment industry into another state of mourning.
The singer, whose real name is Iyun Janet Ajilore, reportedly died on Saturday.
While the circumstances surrounding her death is currently unclear, some reports suggested that she passed away after brief illness.
Family members and close associates are yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of death or funeral arrangements.
The news of her demise has however left many fans, colleagues, and well-wishers in shock as tribute to the late musician flows.
St. Janet was renowned for her pseudo juju music which made her a household name during the late 2010s.
Her infamous music genre which includes adulteration of gospel songs into lewd lyrics were subject of controversies.
This however contributed to her popularity with a fanbase she fondly calls members of the St. Bottles Cathedral and Sinners’ Chapel.
