The All Progressives Congress Candidate for the 2027 Ogun State Governorship Election, Sen. Adeola Solomon, popularly known as Yayi, has donated garri to his supporters as part of his campaign for the election.
Adeola launched the incentive at the weekend with video posted on X on Sunday showing the Ogun governorship candidate inspecting the food packaged in transparent bags with stickers containing his image pasted on them.
Each pack is estimated to contain 5kg of garri and is expected to be distributed to the APC candidate’s supporters as incentives.
This had however sparked mixed reactions from netizens with some slamming the APC, accusing the party of weaponising poverty.
