The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has left members of the public in awe with a romantic moment between him and his wife, Eberechi Wike, at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
Wike and his wife had on Saturday attended the university’s 39th Convocation Ceremony which had the FCT Minister as the Guest Lecturer.
While delivering the lecture on the theme “Leadership and Infrastructure Development in Nigeria: Lesson for future leaders”, the Minister appeared to be sweating under the academic regalia he wore.
In a sheer moment of affection captured in a video currently making round on social media, Eberechi walked up to the podium with a towel to clean her husband’s face.
She further pulled down his hat to wipe off the streak of sweats from his head while uttering a word of encouragement to Wike.
“You are doing well.” Eberechi said before readjusting the minister’s cap and leaving the podium.
The romantic moment drew applause from the audience as Eberechi made her way back to her seat.
Wike would sum up the moment by giving her a light kiss at the conclusion of his lecture.
The act had also sparked reactions from netizens who commended Eberechi’s gesture.
Some however expressed their displeasure with the minister and his wife over the public display of affection.
