It was a cheerful scene as some residents of the Kwali community in Abuja were seen hailing the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for commencing the first access road in the area.
NPO reports that the Minister was inspecting the construction of the ongoing 11km Yangoji Sukuku-Ebo road on Wednesday.
In a clip sighted by NPO Reports, the residents were seen hailing and cheering him on saying they are thankful.
“Nagode Nagode!” They chanted.
According to information gathered by NPO Reports, this will be the first time people living in the community will be having access to such road.
This is coming just at a time when the Minister has vowed to continue the demolition of Ruga, a settlement along the Abuja airport.
Wike had previously ordered a task force, “Operation Sweep,” to demolish Ruga and other communities within the nation’s capital to clear the city of perceived nuisances and criminal activities.
