The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn-in Barrister Olufunke Rekiya Hassan as the new chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.
This was made known in an X post by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, on Monday.
This is following the passing of the former Chairman of the LCDA, Olatunde Olakanle, who died at the age of 54 following a brief illness on the 2nd of November, 2024.
Barrister Hassan, who was born and bred in Lagos State was the immediate Vice Chairman of the Council.
She bagged a B.L in Law at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos and her L.L.M in law at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife
Hassan was the former Supervisor for the Department of Agriculture and Social Services Onigbongbo LCDA and also the Supervisor for the Department of Education, Onigbongbo LCDA.
She had served as the APC assistant legal advisor for Onigbongbo LCDA.
Similarly, she has served as the South West Social Secretary for the National Young Women in Politics Forum (NYWPF)
