Cause Traffic Gridlock

The Lagos State Police Command has on Tuesday left many residents of the state in awe with it’s massive show of force through its deployment of operational vehicles, forming a long-stretch patrol convoy with heavily armed personnel.
As captured in a video by the NPO Reports Correspondent , the police convoy which included patrol vans, Black Maria, and towing vehicle were spotted along the ever-busy Ikeja roads.
This had caused a heavy traffic gridlock which reportedly stretched from the Ikeja under-bridge to Oba Akinjobi way.
The traffic had left many motorists on the spot for long periods with the traffic going into adjoining streets of the Ikeja GRA.
The traffic also went as far as towards the domestic wing of the Muritala International AirPort and Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way.
The siren-blaring long convoy had attracted the attention of many people who stood to watch as the long convoy snaked through the Ikeja Roundabout.
With no prior statement notifying the public on such parade of Force, NPO Reports reached out to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, in demand for reason behind the patrol.
The Lagos Police spokesperson is however yet to reply to our correspondent as at the time of filing this report.
