Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has expressed his excitement over the renaming of a street after him in Lagos.
Kosoko announced the development in a post on his official Instagram handle on Monday.
Attached to the post was a video of the unveiling of the new street signpost by the singer alongside his wife Simi and daughter, Adejare.
The short clip showed the emotional moment the family pulled off a grey towel placed on the signpost, revealing the new street name engraved on the rectangular shaped red board used in naming streets in Lagos.
In a brief caption attached to the video, Adekunle Gold expressed his gratitude to God for the new accomplishment.
“Adekunle Kosoko Street. The city that raised me now carries my name. Thank you Lord for my many blessing❤️ ” He wrote.
