A Nigerian soldier has released an aftermath video of terrorists’ attack on his military base in Borno state.
NPO earlier Reported that suspected terrorists have on Thursday launched a coordinated attack on the 29 Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Benisheikh area of the state.
As confirmed in a statement issued by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) Spokesperson,Maj. Gen. Michael Onoja, the insurgents attacked the formation around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday in an attempt to breach the defensive perimeter of the military installation.
While they were met with strong resistance from the troops attached to the Operation HADIN KAI, an undisclosed number of soldiers were however killed in the course of the attack.
The video of the aftermath posted on X showed sections of the military formation destroyed.
The soldier who recorded the video attributed his survival to God’s intervention as he confirmed the death of some of his colleagues.
” Omo see my camp o. We wey dey alive, na God keep us. RIP to those soldiers wey lost their lives. No be small thing be Army work.” He said.
