Social media sensation and controversial rapper, Speed Darlington, has been released from police custody on bail.
This was announced in an X post by lawyer, Deji Adeyanju on Tuesday.
Adeyanju, expressed appreciation to activist, Omoyele Sowore and another legal counsel, Stan Alieke, for their efforts in securing Speeddarlington’s release.
“Special appreciation to #YeleSowore, super reliable senior lawyer #stanalieke, and to all Nigerians for raising their voice for Speed Darlington.
“Must also appreciate Prof Sanusi and his team at IRT for the professionalism today,” the tweet read.
NPO reports that Adeyanju had disclosed that Speed Darlington was arrested in Lagos last week Friday and was transferred to Abuja where he was detained before news of him being missing circulated.
Additionally, his arrest was linked to Grammy winning artiste, Burna Boy, following reports that Speed had made allegations of his affiliation with embattled American Rapper, Diddy.
