At least, one student of the Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin has reportedly died on Thursday during a protest ignited by acute fuel shortage at the state capital.
NPO Reports gathered that tension enveloped the whole of state capital as residents stayed indoor over police students clash.
A huge crowd of students and other angry residents gathered at the police headquarters to protest the death of the student.
However, according to information gathered by NPO Reports, there are suspicions that the deceased was into internet fraud, hence him running from the police.
He was on his way from a birthday party when the bike he took was stopped by police.
The bikeman turned upon sighting the police and the police ran after them.
A video of the scene when the policemen shot was posted by eyewitnesses.

Unfortunately, when they couldn’t catch up with them, one of the policemen pulled the trigger and bullet hit his upper arm.
He had lost lot of blood before he was rescued and taken to the hospital where he passed away.
Meanwhile, travellers coming into Ilorin on Thursday were reportedly told to come down from their buses at the outskirts of the town such as Ganman and Eyenkorin
