The Supreme Court has upheld the suspension of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and other leaders of the faction.
In a unanimous judgment delivered on Thursday, the apex court affirmed the suspension of Anyanwu alongside Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), Umaru Bature, and Okechukwu Osuoha.
The court reportedly dismissed the appeal of the faction backed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In furtherance of the ruling, the jury also nullified the March 2026 National Convention of the faction held in Abuja.
The Supreme Court declared the event held between March 29 and 30, 2026 as illegal and non-existent in the eyes of the law.
According to reports, all actions, decisions, and appointments made by the suspended officials during the period of their suspension were also declared null, void, and of no legal consequence whatsoever.
