President Muhammadu Buhari is set to hold an emergency security meeting with his chiefs today, Monday.
This followed growing concerns over the terror alert by the United States, United Kingdom and other foreign missions in Nigeria.
He returned to the country from Soul to hold the meeting.
The emergency security meeting which is expected to hold in Abuja will have all the Security Chiefs and some Ministers in attendance.
This was disclosed in a series of tweets via the presidency handle saying that, the meeting is aimed at strengthening the security network across the country.
During the meeting, Buhari would receive briefs from the Security Chiefs.
The tweets read: “President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday meet with security chiefs in the nation’s capital, Abuja, to further review and strengthen security network in the country.
“The President, who was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex, will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention.

There has been palpable tension in Abuja, and its environs since the United States warned of a possible terrorist attack in the nation’s capital.
The alert claimed that the terrorists were targeting government facilities, places of worship and schools, among others.
Schools and private establishments have been shutting down operations over the fear of attack by the daredevil terrorist that have, over the years, kept the country hostage.
